Fanfic has ruined proper books for me. I keep reading and I’m like where is all the gay sex.
Hal Duncan has a gay sex scene in his novel “Ink” (it’s the sequel to his astonishing, brilliant, hard to follow and heartbreaking novel “Vellum”) and I was soooooo excited to read a book that I bought at Barnes and Nobel with a gay sex scene in that I called up a friend and went, “There is a gay sex scene in this book!”
Her response was, “Okay?”
